BRASSTOOTH

Brasstooth is a UK producer, DJ, and pioneer in the underground music scene, best known for his iconic UK Garage anthems Celebrate Life and Pleasure. His journey began as a bassist in the band Kuro, which was signed by Polygram Music. After being dropped from the group, Brasstooth launched his solo career, collaborating with Darius Keeler (Genaside II / Archive) and contributing additional keys to the groundbreaking jungle track Narra-Minds. Frustrated by repeated rejections from labels, Brasstooth founded his own imprint, Well Built Records, and independently released I Can’t Quite Understand. The record became a garage classic, selling over 18,000 copies. While studying Commercial Music at Westminster University, he recorded Celebrate Life originally a university project which exploded on the UK Garage scene, receiving heavy support from Choice FM and the Dreem Team, and selling over 29,000 units. His follow-up single Pleasure sold 25,000 copies and led to a deal with Warner Music. Though label restructuring cut the deal short, Brasstooth went on to hold DJ residencies across the UK, immersing himself in the evolving club scene. This period of reinvention led him to develop a bold new sound distinctly Brasstooth, yet unmistakably fresh. Now, with a refined musical vision and renewed passion, Brasstooth is back. Reimagining his classics and producing innovative new tracks, he continues to push boundaries while staying true to his underground roots. The music speaks for itself.
